Keith Schiller, Esq., of Schiller Law , a PLC, is the author of the award-winning textbook, Art of the Estate Tax Return, which combined with the 2020 supplement includes greater than 1000 pages of practical pointers on how to prepare estate tax returns for the best results for your clients. He is a practicing attorney with focus on major estate and gift planning, assisting professionals with the review of Forms 706 and 709, audits and appeals of these forms, action steps and ruling request applications when relief is needed, and business succession planning. He brings over 47 years' practical experience with a dedication assisting tax practitioners. Keith teaches and writes articles and texts under the tradename "Estate Planning at the Movies." He uses motion picture references where apt to make easier the recollection of complex tax issues. He has authored dozens of nationally published articles on federal estate, GST and gift tax practice and presented nationally for decades to tax professionals. Keith has authored 11 full-day courses for the California CPA Education Foundation since 1987, twice receiving the award for outstanding course materials. He is a member of the Bloomberg, BNA Tax Management's Advisory Board for the Estates, Gifts and Trusts Journal and a member of the Advisory Board for Leimberg Information Services. Keith is also a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law and Taxation Law by the California State Bar. From another passion, Keith was the chairman of the Yosemite License Plate Committee for which he lobbied passage and chair the marketing for the issuance and sale of California's special-interests license plate featuring a Yosemite scene that has raised in excess of $44 million for the preservation of Yosemite National Park and California conservation.
